Palm Strike

Generalized term for an ‘open hand’ strike. For most level 1 this typically follows a straight punch technique, but can be used in alternate methods of striking. Strike with the palm angled up, fingers bent but not at a closed fist with the intention of staying out of the way of the strike.

Hello, I just had a quick question, palm strikes from what I understand can be an effective and powerful defensive/offensive tool, but can they be used in an upper cut fashion to say, knock someone out just as an upper cut would? Also, assuming your attacker is larger than you, where else might you deliver palm strikes to the torso?

    Thank you,
    Romanee
